San Francisco Animal Care and Control |
 |
San Francisco Animal Care and Control is the ONLY shelter in San Francisco that rescues and adopts rabbits and other small animals, such as guinea pigs, rats, birds, reptiles, and more, in addition to cats and dogs. The SPCA does not. Unfortunately, the SFACC website is not updated regularly, so it may be difficult to know who is available for adoption just by looking on their website or by calling. Their website is best for learning hours of operation and location.
San Francisco Animal Care and Control is usually very busy and not always able to provide good individual customer service. However, they do an excellent job in caring for their animals, and working closely with rescue groups, such as ours. Please support them. You will need to show identification, be a bit patient, and ask to visit the small animal room.
